Ingredients:
1 pkg. active dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water (110 degrees F)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
1 cup warm milk (110 degrees F)
1/4 cup warm water (110 degrees F)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
1 cup warm milk (110 degrees F)
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast
in warm water for about 10 minutes. Stir well.
2. In a 2 quart glass or plastic
container, combine 1 cup sifted flour and 1 cup sugar. Mix thoroughly or the
flour will get lumpy when you add the milk.
3. Slowly stir in warm milk and
dissolved yeast mixture. Loosely cover the mixture with a lid or plastic wrap.
The mixture will get bubbly. Place the mixture in a one-gallon Ziploc bag. Consider this Day 1 of the cycle, or the day you
receive the starter.
For the next 10 days handle starter
according to the instructions for Amish
Friendship Bread.
Heyyyyy! There you are, Annette!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you on Blogger!
I haven't implemented my Smilies plan yet. I'll try to get somewhere with it tomorrow.
Amish Friendship Bread for friends ... sounds like a plan.
Anyway, you appear to have picked up quickly on how to customize your Blog here on Blogger, Annette.
Testing One Two Three
ReplyDeleteI look forward to you implementing your Smilies plan. I sure miss the emotions.
ReplyDeleteOctober was a BAD month for me. First, a High School Girl on her way to school played bumper cars with me. She lost...she totaled her little car.
Next, I got called for Jury Duty. Jury Duty here lasts for a Quarter and that doesn't end until January 14, 2014. I was hoping for a Civil Cases, but served on my first Criminal Case today.
Finally, I find out MyOpera is closing.
I am so glad October is over. I hate change and I have lots coming my way. THANKS to October, I have to buy another vehicle, call in every afternoon to see if I report for Jury Duty the next day, and try to learn how to maneuver through another blog.
On the positive side of things, I get to work days until the Jury Duty Quarter ends. Hopefully, I will have plenty of time in the afternoons to try to figure out how to get around in this new blog.
Doh! Yikes! It HAS been a rough October for you, Annette.
ReplyDeleteWas that you Jeep involved in the accident? So, buying another vehicle is your choice? I ask because you say that the girl's car was totaled. So your vehicle is technically still repairable?
It sounds like ... neither you nor the girl incurred any injuries?
Speaking of jury duty, I too am scheduled to have jury duty tomorrow Friday. I've been checking Online to see if the requirement of my presence there is canceled. It states on there on the jury website to check after 5:00PM to see if one is still required to report or whether the requirement of one's presence has been canceled. As of 6:00PM, no such luck. It still stated in big, bold red letters that I am required to report tomorrow at 8:30AM.
ReplyDeleteOne of my sisters in law had told me that 8:00PM the night before jury duty day is about the latest chance that you have of it being canceled. So, that's the latest I'll check. If it hasn't been canceled by 8:00PM tonight, I'm gonna have to declare it Game ON for tomorrow morning.
Maybe you'll have some material for a Blog Post regarding your jury duty experience on that trial, Annette.
As to my Smilies plan? I worked on it a LOT today.
ReplyDeleteNow mind you ... it is NOT guaranteed to work.
Three different sets of Smilies Code from the Net have already failed to work.
It's that from what I read on some Spanish Blog on Blogger, earlier this year, there was some huge Code change on Blogger ... reminiscent of way back when they changed us from Original MyOpera to the New MyOpera some years back. So, as per that guy, when they did that on Blogger, whatever methods there were out there for inserting Smilies in comments ... ceased to work.
So, the Codes have to be tweaked / fixed.
That guy had some Code on that Blog Post, presumably a fix so as to get the Smilies displaying again. However, with his higher level of Spanish and his method of explaining things not being ideal and leaving something to be desired ... I wasn't able to decipher how exactly to implement that Code.
So, I am taking a different approach. I found some Code for being able to insert Images and YouTubes in comments on Blogger. So, if it's not outdated Code, that SHOULD give me the ability to add Smilies since they're images.
ReplyDeleteToday I went through the LONG, tedious, arduous task of first downloading onto my Flash Drive all of the main Smilies that I use, including the Tamil Smilies. Then I had to upload them all onto Blogger.
ReplyDeleteSo, my loose plan is to have the URLs to all those Smilies listed in a Text Gadget in my Sidebar ... complete with all the "img src" Etc. Coding to each URL. This way we can just simply copy the URLs from my Sidebar to whatever Smilies we want to insert in comments and BAMM! Paste the URLs complete with the img src Etc. Coding into the comment and they SHOULD display. Theoretically. LOL
If I get this Smilies plan working, you'll of course be welcome to implement it in your Blog, Annette.
ReplyDeleteOk Sunny, the google+ has been removed from this blog. Your comments will appear as suntana511.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm testing to see if comments on your other Post will also initiate a Subscription Feed.
ReplyDeleteMonday RSS Feed Notifications TEST for SummerAngel's Beach
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh, BTW, Annette ...
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day ... albeit a day late.
Sunny, I got no RSS Feed Notifications for the comments made on your blog or mine. I even did the refresh and still didn't get any notifications.
ReplyDeleteI did not have to sign back in to BlogSpot. As soon as I opened the Opera Browser, my Blogger Dashboard was in the first tab and I was still signed in.
Thank you for the Mothers Day Wishes. It was nice...I had the day OFF!!!
